The LCC student ministry exists to help Junior High and High School students pursue God and His calling for their lives. The student ministry accomplishes this goal in three main areas: Biblical truth, life application, and relationships with others. We believe that each student should have the opportunity to grow in their knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. Students are given this opportunity in various ways during their involvement with LCC Student Ministry.
The Point is the LCC student ministry's youth Group. The Point meets from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Wednesday night and is open to 6th through 12th grade students. This group exists to give students the opportunity to look into scripture and their own beliefs and ask the question 'why'. It is not our goal to tell the students what to believe, but rather to encourage them to find the truth that scripture already holds.
During this time students build relationships with other students and adult volunteers through fun, games, and small group interactions and discussions. Our goal is that each week students are challenged by biblical teaching and have to opportunity to engage the subject alongside of both peers and adults to better understand both the truth of scripture and God's plan for their lives.
- Fellowship: With big group games and time to hang around afterwards, we love seeing Youth connect and build relationships with each other.
- Biblical Truth: Lessons about God’s calling on our lives with everyday application.
- Small Groups: A built in time for students to discuss what God is doing in their lives and the challenges presented to them in scripture.
Students are encouraged to join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30a.m. for Sunday School classes. During each class students will have the opportunity to engage God's Word and their own beliefs on a deeper level through engaging teaching and discussion.
Special Trips and Events
Through out the year students will have the opportunity to attend various trips and special events. These opportunities could range from a special, one night event at the church to longer camps and mission trips. Each time one of the events is available, it will be announced to students on Wednesday nights at the Point, Sunday mornings, and/or posted on social media.
