Parents have been given some incredible gifts from God, their children! These precious gifts come with a huge responsibility to teach and train them in the way they should go, to know and love God.
At Logan Christian Church our desire is to create an environment that supports and assists parents in their amazing calling to teach their children to know and love Jesus Christ.
We want to Engage every child’s imagination as they learn more about Jesus by:
- Helping children understand the impact of the Gospel
- Creating exciting environments and interactive lessons.
- Making sure that every child and parent experiences the Grace and Truth of Jesus Christ.
Every Sunday morning, at 9:30, we offer an hour where children engage the gospel through praise & worship, crafts, games, and biblical lessons aimed to build relationships and grow in the grace and truth of Jesus.
The Extra Recess (ER) program is only offered during the school year and only on days that Logan-Magnolia holds classes.
If school is cancelled, on any given Wednesday, then ER is cancelled for that day also.
Extra Recess is for Pre-K through 5th grade from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. We have three stations the students rotate through and each one talking about the main topic that day. With games, craft, and snack, it’s fun for the students and a convenient time for parents who work!
Interactive Activities: Students play games, create crafts, and make their own snack. These hands on activities help students understand biblical truths in their own way.
Relationship Building: For two hours on Wednesday, the students get to be with each other outside of a classroom and interact with adult leaders.
Gateway to Youth Group: The years in Extra Recess give students a chance to become comfortable with other Christian kids and know adult leaders in the church. This helps the transition to older programs much smoother.
We offer Children's programming concurrently with our 10:30 service time. During this time, children are given the opportunity to learn in a way more compatible to their age and be apart of a worship service designed just for them!
Pre-K and Kindergarten begins at 10:30 downstairs immediately following the Sunday school hour. Meanwhile, 1st through 4th grade will be dismissed during the service, to the back of the Family Life Center, where they will be met by the Children's Church leader.
Biblical Lesson: These shorter, more interactive lessons are great ways for biblical truths to become fun and interesting.
Building a foundation: Building relationships with other church kids and adult teachers gives an opportunity to have a solid foundation outside of their family.
Application: An adult sermon will have a different real life application than an elementary school student. This provides a chance to give lessons and advice that meets their need.
